Price of Sessions:
I aim to be clear and transparent about fees, while also recognising that people’s circumstances can change. If you have any questions about sessions or costs, you’re very welcome to ask.

Sessions can be booked for 1 hour, 1.5 hours, or 2 hours, depending on what feels most helpful for you.

Counselling with children and young people (12+):
Sessions are usually £50 per hour.
For younger clients who may not require a full hour, a 40-minute session is available at £40.

Parental or guardian consent may be required, and you will be provided with a safeguarding policy alongside the standard contract.

Couples counselling:
£65 per hour

Supervision:
£50 for 1 hour
£75 for 1.5 hours

(Please see the Supervision page for further details.)

Concessions:
I offer concessionary rates for individuals experiencing financial difficulty. If cost is a concern, you’re welcome to talk to me about this.
If your circumstances change after sessions have begun, we can also discuss this — I work with a sliding scale where possible.

Session format:
Sessions are available:
Face-to-face
By video
By telephone

For video and telephone sessions, payment is required in advance by bank transfer. These sessions are intended to offer the same depth and quality as in-person work, so it’s important that you’re in a private, uninterrupted space and able to speak freely.

Length and frequency of sessions:
There is no set number of sessions. You choose how often you’d like to attend — weekly, fortnightly, or more flexibly if appropriate.
At the end of each session, you’re free to decide whether you’d like to book another appointment. There is no pressure to continue.

Availability:
Appointments are available:
Monday to Friday: 9:15am – 8:30pm
Weekends: 9:15am – 6:00pm
All sessions are subject to availability.

Payment and cancellations:
Payment is usually made by bank transfer and should be completed no later than 24 hours before your session. Receipts can be provided on request.
Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are non-refundable. If you have any questions about payment or cancellations, please feel free to ask.

Confidentiality and ethics:
Confidentiality is central to my work. Everything we discuss remains private, except in rare circumstances where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others. If confidentiality ever needs to be broken, I will make every effort to discuss this with you first.
These limits to confidentiality will be clearly outlined in the contract we go through together in the first session.
I work in accordance with the ethical framework of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy(BACP) and attend regular supervision every two weeks, exceeding minimum professional requirements.

Insurance and data protection:
I hold appropriate professional insurance for face-to-face, online, and telephone counselling. I am GDPR compliant, registered with the ICO, and hold a full enhanced DBS check.

About first sessions:
I don’t offer free introductory consultations. Instead, new clients book a full 1-hour first session.
This gives us proper time to explore what’s bringing you to counselling, how I work, and whether it feels right for you. It’s not a rushed call or assessment — it’s a complete session, focused entirely on you.
There is no obligation to continue after this appointment. You’re free to decide whether you’d like to book further sessions once you’ve experienced how I work.
